Streamline Senior Management

Founded in 1997 by Wayne Curtis Brown, PhD and Joseph James Leon, PhD, Streamline Surveys Inc. set out to provide best-practices survey and marketing research services around the world.  Since then, Streamline Surveys Inc. has succeeded in become one of the most important worldwide online resources for survey and marketing research and related products and services.   

Wayne Curtis Brown, PhD, President

Wayne received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Sociology from University of California, Riverside.  In addition to being one of the creators of Streamline Surveys Inc, Dr. Brown is president of Brown and Associates, a statistical and computer programming research firm.  Dr. Brown is a retired Professor Emeritus in the Behavioral Sciences Department at California State Polytechnic University Pomona were he primarily focused on research methods, statistics and organizations.  Dr. Brown’s 28 years in research include work in business-to-business, consumer, and contract statistical research.    

Joseph J. Leon, PhD, Vice President

Joe received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Sociology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Dr. Leon taught and did research in the Behavioral Sciences Department at California State Polytechnic University Pomona for 22 years before retiring with the status of Professor Emeritus in 1997. Dr. Leon's research and publication areas were research methods, family, ethnic relations. Joe is a co-founding member of Streamline Surveys Inc. and today oversees the Streamline Surveys Inc. and it many services including the Survey and Marketing Research E-Store™, Streamline Surveys Worldwide Services™ and Streamline Surveys Inc Publishing. Dr. Leon also is the Managing Director for Client Research and often acts as Project Manager.

 Libby O. Ruch, PhD, Treasurer

Libby is a graduate of Vassar College and went on to receive a Masters in Sociology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and later a Ph.D. in Sociology from Stanford University. Dr. Libby O. Ruch is currently a Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology, University of Hawaii at Manoa. Her research is focused on women and stress. She has developed and tested (reliability and validity tests) her own trauma scales (published in peer review journals) and consults on scale development, gender issues, stress issues and evaluation research.

Deborah N. Brown, MPA, Secretary

Deborah received a Bachelors in Behavioral Sciences from California State Polytechnic University and an Masters in Public Administration. Besides teaching social sciences full time in a California high school, Mrs. Brown oversees question development for political polls and issues related to WASC and public education in the United States.

Collectively, they have over 50 years of survey research training and experience.
