(CATI) stations. Our center operates both a day shift for business-to-business
projects and residential calling and an evening shift that concentrates on consumer

Training All
interviewers must complete a comprehensive training program. The initial orientation
session cover the basic requirements and skills necessary for professional data
collection. The session includes extensive practice calling and individual coaching.
Interviewers also receive daily pre-calling briefings to address issues specific

valid scientific activity. They are trained and prepared to collect reliable,
accurate data. Monitoring
We
monitor every interviewer several times during each shift. We provide employees
with immediate feedback concerning their interviewing techniques. Our interviewers

The
standard practice of FAQ Hawaii, Inc. is to validate 15% of the surveys for each
project we conduct. Coding
Opened-End Data We
have an experienced coding team that reviews the project data and develops clear
categories for organizing open-ended responses. After fielding is completed,
our coding experts carefully review the collected data and develop clear, meaningful
categories for organizing the responses given to each open-ended question. All
responses are then coded into client-approved categories. Tabulation Our
data processing staff can produce any type of table to meet the needs of specific

SURVEYS FAQ
Hawaii, Inc. conducts intercept surveys among Hawaii residents as well as with
visitors from the mainland U.S. and Japan. Interviewers conducting surveys among
Japanese visitors are bi-lingual, with Japanese being their native language. Translation
of Questionnaire FAQ
Hawaii, Inc. works with a translation company in Japan to have the questionnaire
translated from English to Japanese. Once the translation is completed, the questionnaire
is reversed-translated back to English to ensure that the survey has been accurately

groups and provide hostesses for the groups. We can record, videotape and transcribe
group discussions, analyze the collected data and prepare research summaries for

Hawaii, Inc. conducts executive-level interviews for clients among business executives
in Hawaii. Interviewers conducting surveys are highly professional and experienced.
FAQ Hawaii, Inc. also does appointment-setting for executive-level interviews. MAIL
SURVEYS FAQ
Hawaii, Inc. conducts mail surveys with customers of clients doing business in
Hawaii. Clients provide a database of their customers and their mailing addresses
that they want surveyed and FAQ Hawaii, Inc. will work with a printing/mailing
company to print and mail the surveys. The questionnaires are usually sent with
a letter of introduction on the client’s letterhead and a postage-paid business
reply envelope is provided for the customers to mail back the survey. To increase
response rate, FAQ Hawaii, Inc. will send out at least two additional mailings
to those who have not completed the surveys within a specific time frame. Coding
